PURPOSE:To prevent deposition and retention of a foreign matter to the interior of a fluid passage, by a method wherein a valve is situated in a passage bypassing a intake air throttle valve, and a valve body is held in a position where the lowermost end part of the opening part of a fluid passage is opened during inoperation. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 5, serving as a valve, is situated between first and second fluid passages 1a and 1b, bypassing an intake air throttle valve. The fluid passage 1b is connected to the downstream of a throttle valve in an intake air passage situated thereabove, and a hole part 41 approximately in an oblong in cross section, serving as the end part of the fluid passage 1b, is formed in a valve seat 4 positioned facing a head part 50 of a rotor 5. The hole part 41 communicates the fluid passage 1b with a rotary space part 2. During inoperation of the rotor 5, the head part 50 of the rotor 5 is held in a position where the lowermost end part of the hole part 41 is released. This constitution prevents a foreign matter, dropped from the intake air passage, from being deposited to the head part 50 and the inner wall surface of the hole part 41, and causes the foreign matter to drop in the rotary space part 2 in a housing 3. |
