<p>PURPOSE:To measure an exposed metallic part caused by film defects in a can, by filling the interior of a coated metallic can (canned goods) with an aqueous solution of an electrolyte, providing an electrode in contact with the above-mentioned solution, hermetically sealing the can and measuring a leakage current in a state of pressurizing or depressurizing the interior of a heat space in the above-mentioned can. CONSTITUTION:In an exposed metallic part measuring apparatus consisting of a supporting frame 10 supporting a coated metallic can (canned goods) having a can drum 2 and seamed part 3 with a can lid at one end, a clamp 20, openably and closably provided in the horizontal direction to the above-mentioned supporting frame 10 and holding the above-mentioned flange upward, deachable hermetically sealing lid 30 supporting an electrode rod 33 in contact with an aqueous solution of an electroyte filled in the metallic can and having a vent hole 35 connecting with a head space of the metallic can for pressurizing or depressurizing and a current detecting mechanism for measuring a leakage current, the interior of the above- mentioned head space is pressurized or depressurized (corresponding to the kind of the canned goods) to produce a pressure difference between the outside and the inside of the metallic can. A voltage is applied across the electrode and the metallic can to measure the leakage current flowing between both with the current detecting mechanism.</p> |
