PURPOSE:To manufacture an emboss roll durable for continuous operation for a long period of time without generating defects such as brown unevenness and the like by coating the metallic surface of an emboss roll with embossed patterns by means of resin with special durability. CONSTITUTION:On embossed patterns A provided on the surface of an emboss roll 7, a coated layer 7a constituted with fluorine resin of low wetting characteristics, high resistance to chemicals, wear and metal adhesion characteristics (for example, polytetrafluoroethylene or the like) or polyether ketone (for example, polyether ether ketone), is formed. By forming said coated layer 7a, plasticizer or the like evaporated from heated non-rigid polyvinyl chloride resin for embossing is prevented from adhering and piling up on the emboss rolls and also a product is prevented from getting defects such as color shading and the like. |
