PURPOSE:To prevent slippage of a friction plate due to abrasion of the friction plate by impelling a roller by a disc spring to exhibit substantially constant spring force over a long stroke. CONSTITUTION:A roller 17 is supported on the upper end portion of a shaft 30, and the shaft 30 is connected to a shaft 33 linking with an operating lever through a hub 32. A plurality of disc springs 38 are disposed on a step portion 35 of the shaft 30 through a spring presser 36. Therefore, even if a friction plate 11 for forward movement and a friction plate 12 for backward movement are worn away and the flexion of the disc spring 38 is decreased from L1 to L2, the spring force W is W3 substantially constant. Accordingly, even if abrasion margins of the friction plate 11 for forward movement and the friction plate 12 for backward movement set large, slippage of a clutch does not occur.
