<p>A plug lid for fitting in an aperture in a container, comprises a peripheral flange 31, a plug wall 33 extending from the inner periphery of the flange, a retaining bead 34 protruding laterally from the plug wall at a distance from the flange 31, an annular portion 35 extending inwardly from the plug wall, a frustoconical portion 36 extending axially and inwardly from the inner periphery of the annular portion to support a central panel 37 in or near the plane of the peripheral flange 31. The annular portion 35 joins the inside of the plug wall 33 near the retaining bead 34 and extends inwardly and axially at an obtuse angle A DEG to the plug wall 33 to join the frustoconical portion 36. The lids may be moulded from polyethylene, polypropylene or nylon.</p> |
