1-Carboxy-(ar)alkanoyl-indoline-2-carboxylic acids of formula (I) or their salts, esters or amides are prepd. by the condensation of a compd. of formula (II) or its ester or amide deriv. and a reactive action gp. deriv. of formula (III) or its ester or amide deriv.. In the formulas, Ph is 1,2-phenylene; Ro is H or HPh; R1, R2 and R3 are each H or lower alkyl; n is 1-10. (I) have angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory activities and are hypotensive, antihypertensive and bradycardic agents. |
