Adapter for bus-bars

An adapter (10) for a bus-bar comprises an elongate head piece (14) which can be locked in an undercut groove of the bus-bar using locking members which can be swung laterally outwards, contact members (26) which can be deployed laterally from the head piece and are intended for making electrical contact with conductors which run through the bus-bar, an operating part (16) for the locking members, and a connection piece (12), held on the head piece, for mechanically fastening an electrical load. The contact members (26) are made in the form of levers and can be operated using cams which are connected to the locking members. A simple and compact construction of the adapter, with high load acceptance capability is achieved by the fact that the operating part is constructed as a bush (sleeve) (16) which is pivotally mounted in the head piece (14) and encloses the connection piece (12), and on whose upper end (20) the locking members and the cams for operating the contact members (26) are rigidly arranged. <IMAGE>
