Gearbox which consists of a set of epicyclic (epicyclicoidal) trains, which are the same in number as the required number of forward gears, plus reverse, which crowns are the only elements to be locked and are surrounded by a band (strap) brake actuated electronically by a signal which governs the inlet of the hydraulic system for each crown, the orders of which are generated by an electronic system whose data-processing unit consists of a microprocessor which generates the various orders to the electrovalves which govern each one of the crowns of the epicyclic trains. <IMAGE>
