PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working time prediction device capable of calculating a prediction value of a working time with high accuracy even in a speed range of a working speed to which conventional techniques are not applicable.SOLUTION: A reference index storage part 70 of a working time prediction device 1 stores an index value obtained by digitizing a processing capacity representative of an execution speed taken when a numerical control device for controlling a machine tool decodes a working program and executes a process for generating a command to drive a machine tool; an index calculation part 80 specifies a function of a numerical control device to be used in a segment in which a moving time is intended to be calculated, and acquires an index value corresponding to the function from the reference index storage part 70; and an effective data number calculating part 90 acquires, by using an index value obtained at the index calculation part 80, the number of segments constituting a read-ahead tool path among segments in an intermediate memory 40; whereby a working time is predicted by using the acquired number of segments. |
