PURPOSE:To effectively avoid the deformation of coils by a method wherein the title superconductive magnet comprising non-circular superconductive coils with supporters is provided with a pressing means of the supporters with a wedge in the direction to avoid the deformation of the coils. CONSTITUTION:Two each of juxtaposed race track type coils 1, 2 are fixed by driving a wedge 3 into the space between supporters 4, 5 to firmly thrust the supporters 4, 5 to the coils 1, 2. Thus, the coils 1, 2 can be firmly fixed by using the wedge 3. In such a device, the quenching by the shift of the superconductive wire in linear parts due to a strong electromagnetic force can be prevented from occurring thereby enabling the deformation of the coils having many linear parts such as the race track type coils to be effectively avoided. Furthermore, the stable exciting operation in high cooling efficiency can be performed. |
