PURPOSE:To enable the making of paper for water ink jet recording which have excellent properties such as ink receptiveness, absorbing efficiency, release in atmosphere, sharply recorded image quality and recorded image reservability after recording by specifying the kinematic wetting value and stoeckigt siging degree of a base. CONSTITUTION:A base consisting mainly of wooden pulp is made using various types of paper machine. Kinematic wetting value and Stoeckigt sizing degree can be controlled by selectively using parameters such as pump composition, beating, filler, paper strength reinforcing agent, inner applicable sizing agent, PH adjustment agent, surface sizing agent, surface processing agent, control of type and addition amount of various assistants, drying and pressure conditions and control of operating conditions of an individual paper machine. The kinemat ic wetting value of the base is -0.20 to +0.20g, preferably -0.15 to +0.10g. The controlled stoeckigt sizing degree is 20sec. or less, preferably 1 to 15sec. |
