PURPOSE:To shorten the baking time by compounding a refractory aggregate with a thermoplastic resin and dinitronaphthalene. CONSTITUTION:A refractory aggregate such as basic aggregate (e.g. dolomite) or acidic or neutral aggregate (e.g. silica or alumina) is compounded with 10-30wt.% of a thermoplastic resin such as PVC or polybutene resin as a binder. The obtained mixture is further mixed with a powdery or solid cure-accelerator such as dinitronaphthalene to obtain the objective refractory composition for hot-mending having shortened baking time and excellent durability. |
