PURPOSE:To rapidly perform treatment in a high disinfection level by providing an insertion part permitting the insertion part of an endoscope to pass in a freely movable manner so as to pierce a disinfection chamber and a disinfection device main body and a seal means preventing the leakage of hydrogen peroxide vapor from the disinfection chamber. CONSTITUTION:A cover 7 is opened and the opening part 6 of a disinfection device main body 5 is opened and the handling part of the insertion part 9 of an endoscope 8 is arranged between the recessed parts 10a, 10b of the disinfection device main body 5 through a disinfection chamber 15. The cover 7 is closed and the disinfection chamber 15 is sealed by the recessed parts 10a, 10b and seal members 11a, 11b and, at the same time, a switch is turned ON and a forming apparatus 3 generates hydrogen peroxide vapor which is, in turn, supplied to the disinfection chamber 15 through a connection pipe 2 to be stored therein. Since the hydrogen peroxide has high sterilizing power, the insertion part 9 is immediately disinfected. When the insertion part 9 is gradually drawn out on the side of an operation part, the insertion part 9 is successively disinfected when it passes through the disinfection chamber 15. Since the hydrogen peroxide vapor is gradually decomposed, the rinsing after disinfection is unnecessary and disinfection treatment can be rapidly performed. |
