PURPOSE:To make it possible to test the operation of a brake quickly, readily and accurately by determining whether a pressure accumulator is operated or not when the integrated pushing stroke of a brake pedal reaches a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a pedal-stroke detecting unit 51 are engaged 53, 58 with a steering wheel 70 and a brake pedal 12. When the pedal 12 is pushed or the pushing is stopped, a pinion gear 64 which is engaged with a rack 66 is rotated in response to the pushing stroke by the movement of a movable rod 57 in a tubular part 55. Pulse signals Sa and Sb are outputted from a pulse encoder 65 and supplied into a pushing-stroke displaying block 52. A control unit 71 computes the integrated value of the pushing stroke of the pedal 12. When the value reaches a specified value, it is decided that the operating state of the brake device is normal when an accumulator actuator such as accumulator 17 is not operated. It is decided that the operating state of the brake device is abnormal when the actuator is operated. |
