PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical open and close body stop device for an open and close device for stopping closing movement of the open and close body when the open and close body comes into contact with an obstacle during its closing movement.SOLUTION: Closing movement of a shutter curtain as an open and close body comprising an open and close main body and an open and close sub-body is stopped by mechanical binding means 71 in a manner where a chain 32 as a string type string member and the shutter curtain are bound when the shutter curtain comes into contact with an obstacle during its closing movement. The means 71 comprises wheels 76, 77 as rotation members rotating when the shutter curtain moves and a wheel 79 as a rotator rotating together with the wheels 76, 77. When a ratchet member 81 as an action member acting when the shutter curtain comes into contact with the obstacle is engaged with the wheel 79, rotation of the wheels 76, 77, 79 is stopped and brake means is driven at a tension acting on the chain 32 to stop closing movement of the shutter curtain. |
