<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a high quality surface sufficiently coated without containing different powders by using spray guns which first supply workpieces with recycled powder, and last supply workpieces with fresh powder containing a relatively low amount of air at low velocity. CONSTITUTION: Workpieces W suspended by a chain in a powder coating workroom K are passed in the direction of arrows. The powder coating workroom is provided with eight spray guns 10 to 17 in total. Recycled powder is supplied by spray guns 10, 11, 12 and 13, and fresh powder is supplied by spray guns 14, 15, 16 and 17. The latter guns are charged with a powder-air mixture containing a relatively low amount of air and supplied at a relatively low velocity, resulting in high adhesion efficiency and good coating on the region of workpieces hard to be coated.</p> |
