Ring-shaped blanks are cut from a sheet metal strip, leaving retaining rails. Cuts are made in the area of the strips, and then evenly distributed ball cups are printed into the blanks. Any tabs are erected, for internal and/or external toothing. The retaining rails (22) serve to hold the blanks (11), and are also used for toothing, in addition to the tabs (19,26). After the cuts have been placed, dividing edges (25) are printed into the retaining rails, next to the ring blanks. After printing of the ball cups, and erection of the tabs, the finished stampings (12) are separated from the metal strip (10) in the area of the printed dividing edges.
