The cable guideway is used for a cable bundle comprising cables for a number of different electrical systems and a battery supply cable (8) extending between the battery contained in the vehicle boot and the front engine compartment. The guide extends along one of the longitudinal members (1) of the vehicle chassis, with the cable bundle and the battery cable being spaced from one another. Pref. the cable guide uses a cable channel (9) along the top part of the longitudinal chassis member for housing the cable bundle, the battery cable extending along the floor of the vehicle passenger space adjacent the base of the longitudinal chassis member. ADVANTAGE - Prevents electrical interference between battery cable and electrical cable bundle.
