PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic wastewater treatment method and organic wastewater treatment equipment, enabling excess sludge to be reduced and generation amount of methane gas in anaerobic treatment to be increased.SOLUTION: The organic wastewater treatment method is provided that comprises: a solid-liquid separation step in which suspended solid-containing wastewater is subjected to solid-liquid separation to be thereby separated into sludge and treated water in a settling tank 12; an anaerobic biological treatment step in which the treated water is subjected to anaerobic biological treatment under the presence of a carrier in an anaerobic biological treatment tank 10; a solubilization treatment step in which the sludge is subjected to solubilization treatment in a solubilization treatment tank 14; and a solubilized sludge supply step in which solubilized sludge subjected to the solubilization treatment is supplied from a solubilized sludge supply line 26 to the anaerobic biological treatment tank 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
