PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens which offers reduced size and weight as well as an increased zoom ratio and is capable of minimizing reduction in zoom ratio when shooting at a short distance and of minimizing focusing stroke when focusing at a short distance, and to provide an image capturing device having the same.SOLUTION: A zoom lens of the present invention comprises five or more lens groups including, in order from the object side to the image side, a stationary positive first lens group, a second lens group configured to move while zooming, a third lens group configured to move while zooming, and a positive fourth lens group configured to move while zooming and focusing. A lateral magnification β4tinf of the fourth lens group at the telephoto end when focused at infinity, a composite focal length f23t of the second and third lens groups at the telephoto end, a composite focal length f4 of the fourth lens group satisfy predefined conditional expressions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
