PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique advantageous for reducing errors generated in an image generated on the basis of the number of times of detecting light.SOLUTION: A radiation imaging apparatus comprises: a scintillator for converting a radiation into light; a detection unit having a plurality of pixels each for detecting an intensity of the light obtained by conversion in the scintillator and counting, per pixel, the number of times of detecting the light at each of a plurality of levels regarding the intensity of the light; and a processing unit for performing a process of generating an image on the basis of the number of times of detection for each level obtained by the detection unit per pixel. The processing unit corrects, per pixel, the number of times of detection at each level obtained by the detection unit using information representing a relationship between radiation energy and a probability that the detection unit counts the light at each level, and generates the image on the basis of the corrected number of times of detection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
