The present invention relates to a composition for improving learning ability or memory. More specifically, the present invention relates to a functional health food composition and a pharmaceutical composition for improving learning ability or memory, containing osmotin. According to the present invention, the use of the composition containing osmotin can increase activity of adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and SIRT1, and restores defects in memory or learning ability.
