PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a conventional pressure control device, it is difficult to accurately control a flow of molten metal due to the occurrence of a delay of a motion of a pressure control valve in the case of casting in which the filling of the molten metal is performed in a short period of time.SOLUTION: In a molten metal filling control method, when pressure-filling molten metal 2 into a cavity 5, and performing casting while reducing pressure in the cavity 5 by using a casting device 1 which comprises a holding furnace 3, a metal mold 6, a stoke 7, an electromagnetic pump 8 which imparts thrust in the cavity 5 direction to the molten metal 2 in the stoke 7, and cavity pressure-reduction means 9, the casting is performed by setting at least one motion of either of the electromagnetic pump 8 and the cavity pressure-reduction means 9 so that the sum of a flow speed of the molten metal 2 of a gate part 4 by the electromagnetic pump 8, and a flow speed of the molten metal 2 of the gate part 4 by the cavity pressure-reduction means 9 reaches a prescribed value or smaller. Also in the casting in which the filling of the molten metal 2 into the cavity 5 is formed in a short period of time, a control capacity of the flow of the molten metal 2 is improved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
