PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hydrogel fiber, which can produce a hydrogel fiber having high safety without modifying a higher-order structure of a hydrogel precursor such as collagen.SOLUTION: The production method comprises: a sheath-core fiber generation step (P2) where a sheath-core fiber having a sheath-core structure is formed by an electrostatic spinning method using, as a sheath material solution, a solution of a water-soluble polymer, which can be spun by the electrostatic spinning method, dissolved in a solvent and, as a core material solution, a solution of a hydrogel precursor dissolved in a solvent not containing a fluorine-based organic solvent, the sheath-core fiber having a sheath part comprising a sheath material fiber formed by fiberizing the water-soluble polymer, and a core part comprising the core material solution; and a core material gelation step (P3) where a hydrogel fiber is produced by removing the sheath material fiber of the sheath-core fiber generated and by gelling the core material solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
