PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate sewing quality by using a thread tightness index.SOLUTION: During sewing operation, a needle thread use length (U) after use per stitch is detected. In addition, on the basis of a stitch length (M) per stitch specified according to sewing pattern data, a fabric thickness (t) of an object to be sewn and the detection data of the needle thread use length (U), a thread tightness index (Ks) per stitch upon completion of sewing is calculated. A notification according to the calculated thread tightness index (Ks) per stitch upon completion of sewing (for example, the display of the thread tightness index Ks) is made. The calculated thread tightness index (Ks) per stitch upon completion of sewing is compared with a reference value (Kref). Thereby, it is determined whether thread tightness per stitch upon completion of sewing is good or bad, and a notification about a determination result can be made.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
