PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchip capable of surely performing desired fluid handling as designed by preventing fluid in a fluidic circuit from moving in an unintended direction, thereby obtaining highly reliable inspection/analysis results with excellent reproducibility.SOLUTION: A microchip includes a fluidic circuit composed of a space defined inside and moves fluid existing in a fluidic circuit within the fluidic circuit by application of centrifugal force. The microchip further includes a first substrate having grooves defining the space on a surface thereof, and a second substrate laminated on the surface of the first substrate having the grooves. The grooves of the first substrate include a first groove, a second groove, and a third groove connecting the first groove and the second groove with each other and having a bottom area wider than those of the first groove and the second groove. The second substrate has a recess on the surface at the first substrate side and at a position facing the third groove. |
