PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation method capable of generating images that have quality to give a high presence feeling and are viewed from a desired viewpoint position.SOLUTION: An image generation method is performed by an image generation device including: a plurality of imaging means for imaging a subject from respectively different positions; and viewpoint position setting means for setting viewpoint positions with respect to the subject. The method includes: a selection step for selecting a plurality of imaging means where position relation between the subject and viewpoint positions is close to position relation between the subject and the imaging means; and an image generation step for generating the images of the subject viewed from the viewpoint positions set by the viewpoint position setting means on the basis of multiple images captured by the plurality of imaging means selected in the selection step. |
