Spring contact crimp holder

The holder has a flat base plate (5) with an opening (2) forming a passage, which includes a ring section (6). The section exhibits a circumference with a massive cross-sectional area. A recess is provided in an area of the section. The recess reduces the section at a point in the cross-sectional area in such a manner that elastic deformation is changed into plastic deformation during extension of diameter and stretching of the circumference around an amount larger than length of the section. The length of the section is in the range of 0.5 to 3 percentages of the circumference. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a crimp holder.
