<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent or suppress image deletion caused by the environment. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit applies a charging bias set to a predetermined voltage to a charging roller 41 (#9) and detects a charge current Idc (#10), when the outside temperature of the machine is equal to or lower than T1 and the fixing temperature is not T2 (YES in #4), or even though the above conditions are not satisfied when a flag indicating unfinished aging operation on a charging roller 41 is on and the outside temperature is equal to or lower than T1 (YES in #5). The control unit turns off the flag (#13) and stops application of the charge bias (#14), when the changes in the charging current Idc reach a predetermined state (YES in #11) and turns on a developing motor (#16) and supplies a toner to a photoreceptor drum (#17), when the exterior humidity of the machine is equal to or higher than a predetermined value (YES in #15), and the control unit turns off the developing motor (#18) and turns on a drum motor for a predetermined time and executes aging of the photoreceptor drum (#19). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
