摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting mold for continuous casting which can prevent surface cracking of a cast metal due to uneven cooling of solidification shell at the initial solidification and uneven solidification shell thickness caused by transformation from δ iron to γ iron in medium carbon steel accompanied by a peritectic reaction and whose life can be prevented from deteriorating due to the surface cracking of the casting mold.SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed grooves 2 are provided in the range in an inner wall surface from an arbitrary position higher than a meniscus to a position lower by 20 mm or more than the meniscus. Metal of which the heat conductivity is 30% or less with respect to the heat conductivity of copper is filled into the recessed grooves 2 and low heat conduction metal filling parts 3 are formed. The filling thickness H(mm) of metal satisfies the following expression (1) and the proportion &eegr;(mm/mm) of the sum of boundary length C(mm) between the low heat conduction metal filling parts 3 and copper with respect to area A(mm) of the inner wall surface corresponding to the range in which the low heat conduction metal filling parts 3 is formed satisfies the following expression (2): 0.5≤H≤5.0(1), 0.05≤&eegr;≤0.4(2).
