An inkjet printing head (100, Fig.1) comprises a nozzle assembly (110, Fig.1) having a pair of nozzles 111A, 111B, each nozzle 111A, 111B being connected through a channel 112A, 112B with a separate liquid reservoir 116A, 116B for discharging a primary drop 121A, 121B of liquid at the nozzle outlet 113A, 113B at an angle inclined towards the longitudinal axis of the head (100, Fig.1) to combine at a connection point 132 into a combined drop 122. The head (100, Fig.1) also comprises a primary enclosure 141 surrounding the nozzle outlets 113A, 113B, extending downstream and having a first section (143, Fig.2B) with a diameter (D1, Fig.2B) larger than the diameter (dC, Fig.2B) of the combined drop 122 and a second section (144, Fig.2B) located between the first section (143, Fig.2B) and the nozzle outlets 113A, 113B and having a width increasing upstream. The head (100, Fig.1) also includes a source of a gas stream 171A, 171B to flow downstream inside primary enclosure 141. |
