Sterile ready-to-use Surgical Tool and Attachment System

A power tool connector 14 for connecting a powered rotary driver 12 to a surgical tool has multiple components and at least half of the material from which it is formed is a synthetic moulded material such as plastic. Some components are formed of metal. The connector may be part of a sterile, disposable power tool for a single use. It may be a chuck or a reamer speed reducer. Also disclosed is an adapter 10 for securing the connector to the rotary driver. A first end 18 of the adapter attaches to a non-rotating part of the accessory and a second end 22 has snap-in pins for attachment to the rotary driver.
