PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform distribution to a plurality of distribution relay devices forming a tree structure.SOLUTION: A distribution device 1, communicably connected to each of a plurality of distribution relay devices 2 forming one or more tree structures, for distributing a program or a content includes a tree structure table 13 having recorded relationship between a parent node and a child node among the plurality of distribution relay devices. The distribution device 1 performs first multicast distribution of a program or a content to each apex parent distribution relay device 2 positioned at the apex of the tree structure (distribution processing), and performs reception confirmation of the program or the content on each parent distribution relay device 2 having a child node, to perform second multicast distribution of the program or the content to each parent distribution relay device 2 that does not receive yet (distribution confirmation processing). |
