POWER-SAVING DEVICE AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control either current or voltage of secondary winding and to continuously vary output voltage while a regenerative inverter takes out power from a serial transformer and returns it to a supply side.

SOLUTION: A power saving device includes the serial transformer 4 arranged between an AC power supply 1 and a load 6 and the regenerative inverter 7 whose output side is connected to secondary winding of the serial transformer 4. Voltage applied to the load 6 is controlled with output of the regenerative inverter 7. Output voltage supplied to the load 6 can continuously be controlled with such a structure. Even if voltage of a system such as the AC power supply 1 fluctuates, stable saving power can be supplied to a load 6 side.
