The present technical solution relates to the field of video monitoring, and specifically to video monitoring using rotary (PTZ) cameras. A device for reducing PTZ camera positioning error, including: a PTZ-camera, a data processing unit, a data storage unit and a program, the program being stored in the data storage unit and being executed in the data processing unit, wherein the program includes the following instructions: a command processing unit receiving a PTZ-camera target rotation position, then the command processing unit determining at least one intermediate camera position and the coordinates thereof based on the camera target rotation position data, then the command processing unit sending a command for the PTZ camera to rotate sequentially to the target position via the aforementioned intermediate positions. The technical result consists in reducing camera positioning error and increasing the repeatability of positioning. |
