PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition capable of enhancing viscosity transit stress of grease and reducing torque due to agitation resistance and a rolling shaft bearing with the grease composition encapsulated.SOLUTION: There is provided a grease composition containing at least base oil and a thickener and having relative surface area S of the thickener derived from the following formulae (1) and (2) from thickener particle size distribution measured by a laser diffraction method of 8000 or more.
