DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING CROP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for treating crops improving fluidity of the crops in a hollow part without damaging each grain of the crops to upgrade the quality of crops after being steamed, dried and cooled: and to provide a method for treating crops.

SOLUTION: The device for treating crops 1 is provided with a device main body 10 having a hollow part 11 into which germinated unpolished rice can be charged, and a vortex flow supplying means 20 with which ascending vortex flow can be supplied in the hollow part 11. The vortex flow supplying means 20 is structured so as to changeably supply heated and humid air for steaming the germinated unpolished rice in a prescribed humidity, dry air with a prescribed temperature for drying the germinated unpolished rice and cooling air with a prescribed temperature for cooling the germinated unpolished rice into the hollow part 11 as ascending vortex flow so that the germinated unpolished rice charged into the hollow part 11 flows in the hollow part 11 due to the ascending vortex flow in floating condition.
