1. A method of operating a gaming system, the method comprising:
determining, by at least one of one or more electronic processors of the gaming system, participation by a plurality of wagering game terminals in an electronic community game in a land-based gaming establishment, wherein at least one of the plurality of wagering game terminals includes a value input device configured to receive physical money to increase a credit balance for the at least one of the plurality of wagering game devices to place one or more wagers during a wagering game session associated with the electronic community game; determining, by at least one of the one or more electronic processors, electronic information provided by a player device remote from the land-based gaming establishment, wherein the player device plays an online game independent from the electronic community game, and wherein the electronic information is related to an event in the online game; and in response to determining the electronic information, automatically modifying, by at least one of the one or more electronic processors, the electronic community game based on the event in the online game. |
