A method for the treatment of fatigue associated with spinal cord lesions or with Parkinson's disease, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a CB1 receptor antagonist, characterized in that the CB1 receptor antagonist and/or inverse agonist is selected from the group consisting of rimonabant, a compound of the following formula: and any of their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and/or inverse agonist.
