Provided is a technique such that an image under parallel light illumination can be more conveniently captured with no need for an imaging device to create the parallel light. Imaging is carried out with a regulation plate 2 having many fine through-holes vertically passing therethrough placed between an illumination unit 12 that emits diffused light L1 and a well plate WP holding a living sample, which is the object to be captured, in wells W. The inner wall surface of the through-holes is subjected to blackening processing that keeps the light reflectance low. Only the light incident at a small angle of incidence with respect to the regulation plate 2 impinges on the well W, thereby creating images with excellent contrast. |
