A microwave oven and a control method therefor. The microwave oven comprises a box body (1) provided with a heating cabin (2), a main control board (3) arranged in the box body (1), and a magnetic field generation assembly (4) and a magnetic field sensing assembly (5) arranged in the heating cabin (2), the magnetic field sensing assembly (5) being electrically connected to the main control board (3). The microwave oven control method comprises: collecting a magnetic field change signal generated by a magnetic field generation assembly (4) via a magnetic field sensing assembly (5); detecting whether a metal object enters a heating cabin (2) via a main control board (3) according to the magnetic field change signal; and when the metal object enters the heating cabin (2), the main control board (3) controlling the non-operation of the heating cabin (2). The microwave oven and the control method therefor can eliminate a safety hazard brought about by performing microwave heating on a metal object. |
