The invention relates to wind power installations with wind turbines having two equal-sized rotors that are arranged next to one another and can be rotated together about a pivot axis, with in each case one rotor, having rotor blades, coupled to a generator, and a shroud surrounding at least the rotor blades. These are characterized in particular by the fact that they have an overload safety in the event of elevated wind forces. In addition, the generators of the wind turbines are connected to a control device such that, in the event that a first determined voltage across the generators is exceeded, one of these generators is braked, and in the event that the voltage across the other generator – which is not braked – drops below a second determined voltage, the braked generator ceases to be braked, the first voltage being greater than the second voltage. |
