1. A mobile device method comprising:
receiving, by a mobile device from a server, data indicating that a payment card is lost, wherein the data comprises an identifier associated with the payment card, the identifier indicating a payment account associated with a cardholder, wherein the mobile device receives the data indicating that the payment card is lost based on a determination by the server that the mobile device is within an area associated with a last known location of the payment card; wirelessly polling, via an antenna of the mobile device, for the presence of the payment card; receiving, at the mobile device, the identifier associated with the payment card with the antenna; matching, with a processor, the identifier associated with the payment card with an identifier associated with a lost payment card; determining a present location of the mobile device; wirelessly transmitting a message to the server, the message indicating that the lost payment card was detected and the present location of the mobile device. |
