An apparatus includes a projector to project an image, a three-dimensional sensor to measure three-dimensional data of an image projection range onto which the image is to be projected, and a processor to extract a plane area from the image projection range based on the three-dimensional data measured by the three-dimensional sensor, as a direction of the plane area, identify at least one of a long-side direction, a short-side direction, and a normal direction of the plane area, using the direction of the plane area, perform a primary alignment of an image area for the image to be projected by the projector with the plane area, and perform a secondary alignment of the image area with the plane area by performing a tracking process between a first contour of the image area aligned by the primary alignment and a second contour of the plane area. |

a projector configured to project an image; a three-dimensional sensor configured to measure three-dimensional data of an image projection range onto which the image is to be projected; and a processor coupled to the projector and the three-dimensional sensor, and configured to:
extract a plane area from the image projection range based on the three-dimensional data measured by the three-dimensional sensor,as a direction of the plane area, identify at least one of a long-side direction, a short-side direction, and a normal direction of the plane area,using the direction of the plane area, perform a primary alignment of an image area for the image to be projected by the projector with the plane area, andperform a secondary alignment of the image area with the plane area by performing a tracking process between a first contour of the image area aligned by the primary alignment and a second contour of the plane area. |
