[Class 20 (iii).] Cords are adapted to be secured to sashes without removing the sash from its frame by means of a ring or other apertured device 18 secured to the end and held in the sash groove by a pin or the like 21 inserted from the inner transverse face of the sash. The cord groove may be lined with an U-shaped metal strip 14 through which the pin is passed. As shown in Fig. 1, the cord is attached by a knot in a tube provided with a recessed extension 1 8 to engage the pin. |
