Described herein are methods, formulations and kits for treating a patient with cancer with anti-VEGF antibodies and albumin-bound chemotherapeutic/anti-VEGF antibody nanoparticle complexes.

A method for treating a patient suffering from a cancer which expresses VEGF wherein said patient is treated with a sub-therapeutic amount of an anti-VEGF antibody and albumin-bound chemotherapeutic/anti-VEGF antibody nanoparticle complexes containing a therapeutically effective amount of the chemotherapeutic such that the administration of said sub-therapeutic amount of the anti-VEGF antibody enhances the efficacy of said nanoparticle complexes, wherein the sub-therapeutic amount of anti-VEGF antibody is administered from between about 30 minutes to about 48 hours prior to administration of the albumin-bound chemotherapeutic/anti-VEGF antibody nanoparticle complexes.
