The invention relates to heat insulation (100) for railway rails (102), comprising at least one inner insulation element (501) and at least one outer insulation element (101), that are formed so as to be mounted parallel to each other on a railway rail (102), such that, in the mounted state, the outer insulation element (101) surrounds a lateral end region (105) of the rail foot (104) in a form-fitting manner, the upper part (108) of the outer insulation element extending in the longitudinal direction along the rail (102), opposite the rail web (103) and at a distance (109) therefrom (103), and a lower part (106) of the outer insulation element extending on the lower side of the rail (102).
