PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wrong operation caused by touch input unintended by a user without inhibiting touch operation intended by the user.SOLUTION: A stationary information apparatus having an operation panel with a touch panel mounted therein, includes: a sensor that outputs a signal according to a state of a portion of an operation panel other than an operation surface on an outer surface of the information apparatus; a detection unit that detects that the state of the portion is changed from a first state where touch input unintended by a user is relatively difficult to occur to a second state where such touch input is relatively easy to occur and that detects that the state is changed from the second state to the first state on the basis of the output from the sensor; and a sensitivity control unit that decreases sensitivity in touch detection by the touch panel when the detection unit detects the state change from the first state to the second state and that returns the sensitivity when the detection unit detects the state change from the second state to the first state after the previous state change. |
