PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field sequential endoscope apparatus using an image capture element driven by a rolling shutter method which suppresses image deterioration and reduces the effects of color mixture.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus comprises: illumination devices 40B, 40G, 40R, 41, 42 for irradiating a subject with plural illumination light beams each having a spectrum different from each other; an image capture element 30 driven by a rolling shutter method which changes the start time and end time of an exposure period for each line of a pixel array; an image capture device 20 for imaging the subject sequentially under each of the plural illumination light beams; and a correction unit for correcting the pixel signals of the pixels on a non-uniform exposure line in which a first period for exposure under one of the plural illumination light beams is made shorter than the exposure period according to a switching of the plural illumination light beams, into pixel signals in a case where the non-uniform exposure line is exposed under the one illumination light beam over the entire exposure period. |
