Provided is an electronic stethoscope with which auscultation can appropriately be performed while reducing noise that is uncomfortable for a listener. The electronic stethoscope (100) includes: a sensor unit (10) for obtaining sound by being placed in contact with a subject's body surface; an output unit (23) that changes the level of a sound signal relating to the sound obtained by the sensor unit and outputs an output signal; and control units (25, 26, 27) that control the output unit. The control units control the output unit such that the level of the output signal decreases for a first predetermined time from when the sensor unit is placed in contact with the subject. |
